Templating is very easy if you follow our instructions. The hardest part of templating is mounting the angle on the wall. Here is a list of things you will need to make the job easy. If you have more questions give us a call at 561-755-7867. I also recommend watching our Instructional Templating Video for applications when the angle can not be installed until the entire shutter system is ready for installation.

1. Hot glue gun and glue sticks
2. A sheet of Masonite 1/8'' thick. Cut the Masonite in 2 inch wide strips with a table saw, then cut them 8 ....inches long with your chop saw.
3. When hot gluing make sure to use a fair amount of glue and glue the rough side ONLY, 1-1/4'' overlap min.

1. Measure around the sill from your start position and place a mark on the wall every 5 feet, BEFORE you install all the angles. This is where the track will but together with the second track so you will have enough room to bolt the track with perfect alignment.

2. Now you can layout the offset and position of where the track will be fastened. Follow the contour of the wall around the sill. It's important to stop and start your template every 5 feet. If you miter your your templates where they but together you will not have to cut them when you install your powder coated 6.8 track.
3. Make sure you hot glue the rough sides of the masonite with at least 1-1/4 inches overlap at a minimum.

4. After you have finished your templating of the opening make sure that you properly mark each 5 foot template section.
